With more an dmore people using their cell phones to surf the web and stay connected with text messages, the next big new frontier online is sure to be the mobile web. The latest NTEN newsletter focuses on this topic.

I found “Mobile Advocacy: A Primer of Concepts and Terms” to be both educational in terms of the current scope of use as well as in learning the basics of using the mobile platform to communicate.

Among the stats cited, only 26 percent of mobile subscribers have mobile web access. However, most cell users say they plan to upgrade their service to get better access in the future. This means there is time to form communication strategies to tap the mobile web, but we need to start thinking now.
