Balance Interactive is offering a seminar for businesses that want to learn more about social media. I’ll be there to talk about blogging.
“The Business Case for Social Media” is a seminar designed to explore the opportunities that social media present for businesses that want to build relationships with customers and attract new customers. This event will be a hands-on, how-to session.
The seminar will take place on Thursday, May 7, at the Springfield Country Club, 8301 Old Keene Mill Rd, Springfield VA 22152. Hands-on help begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon. Lunch will be provided.
Representatives from area businesses that are finding success using LinkedIn, Facebook, twitter, blogs and other social media tools will be on hand to share their experiences. Panelists include: Anne Mader, owner, The Bike Lane; Dave Groobert, general manager, Environics Communications USA; and Sarah Singleton, senior communications manager, International Sign Association.
The seminar is hosted by Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and Balance Interactive.
The cost is $50 for chamber members or $60 for non-members. Registration will be available at the door for $60 for chamber members and $70 for non-members.
