What Journalists Want from Your Online Newsroom

TEKGROUP International has completed another survey of journalists to look at what they want from corporate online newsrooms. The analysis of about 1500 responses confirms that an online newsroom is  still an important way for communicators to reach out to media.   

A newsroom should contain

  • press releases (searchable, and organized by topic preferred)
  • PR contact information
  • Ability to sign up for email alerts
  • Breaking news and information
  • Links to social media sites

Further, the survey showed an increased use of mobile devices to access these newsrooms, making optimizing for mobile platforms increasingly important.
