The Steamy Side of Grammar

E. L. James’ best-selling erotic romance novel, Fifty Shades of Grey, was widely criticized for its poor use of language.
In one of the most interesting grammar projects I have seen, the Grammarly team reviewed the book for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. They found that although there were some mistakes — the errors were in alignment with similar gaffes in celebrated romances.
Grammarly created an infographic to illustrate some of the most frequent grammar mistakes from Fifty Shades of Grey as compared with some quotes from classic romances that make similar grammar mistakes.
