Google My Business Adds Option for Posts


Even if you have been giving your Google My Business listing the TLC it deserves, new features get added all the time that require you to revisit your listing. The latest is the option to add posts to your listing.

You can now post special events, promotions and more on your Google listing. To use this feature, log in to your Google My Business account, go to the posts tab, and compose your post. You can have an image, text, and even an action button. When you are done, publish the post and it is live on your Google My Business listing.

While you are in there, take time to make sure all your business information is correct. Even if your location, phone and hours have not changed, you may be able to refresh the listing with some new pictures.

Make sure you are using the best available category for your business. Options are added, and a new one might be a better fit.

As you review everything, have your keyword list at hand. Make sure you leverage every opportunity in your listing to use one or more of your keywords. After all, Google My Business is part of Google, and will impact your search ranking.
