LinkedIn Makes Improvements for Content Authors

For some time now, anyone can author articles on LinkedIn. Now there are more features to enhance you posts: multi-photo posts, native video, logged-out views of all posts, share a draft, and disable comments.

Upload multiple photos in a single post

Using the LinkedIn app for iPhone, authors can now select multiple photos for a single post. LinkedIn says that Android and desktop versions are coming soon.

Post native video directly to LinkedIn

Authors will be able to record and post videos directly from the LinkedIn app. This feature is currently rolling out to members.

Share content off of LinkedIn

Guests and logged out users of LinkedIn can now see posts, videos and articles on LinkedIn. To share content you have posted on LinkedIn somewhere else, get the post’s URL via the control menu. The image below offers an example of how your content will appear to readers who are not logged in to LinkedIn.

Share a draft of your article before you publish

You can now share your draft articles. Click on “Share Draft” in the article edit menu to get the link. Your drafts are only available to people who have the direct links.

Turn off comments

LinkedIn has added the ability to enable or disable comments on articles. This toggle is found in Post Settings.
