Make the Most of Mentions
People who know about you are mentioning you online. Are you leveraging this content as part of your digital strategy? You should.
I recently talked to a business owner who was mentioned very positively in the Washington Post(!) Yet, there was no mention of the article on their website or on any of their social channels.
Don’t make this mistake. When you are mentioned in the media, in a Facebook post, an Instagram snap or anyplace, make sure to integrate that content into your online marketing.
This approach is a win-win. Not only are you generating a library of content resources, you are also enhancing your reputation by sharing content that you did not directly create. Most people rely on the recommendations of other people to inform their decisions and peer comments are valued above all types of advertising.
Plus, you are giving the highest compliment to the people who take time to talk about you by sharing their content. Not only are you making them feel valued, but you are reinforcing behavior that you want to be repeated!
