Jill Kurtz, APR
A digital strategy, strategic communication, and public relations professional, Jill is a relationship person who is not satisfied to put a message, website, social community, publication or other communication tool out there and declare the work done. The value of a great communicator is not in the selection of words in a particular deliverable; it is the ability to get invested with the right audience for a long-term, ongoing relationship of give and take, send and share.
Jill is always learning about the latest ways to achieve communication goals. She enjoys finding ways to make new technologies help organizations to accomplish their most basic tasks—to connect with the people that they serve and to thrive.
As the leader of Kurtz Digital Strategies, Jill is proud to help clients see the communication potential of the newest trends and technologies.
During her time with Fairfax schools, she developed and implemented the school system’s public Web, intranet, and Keep in Touch e-mail system. At Balance Interactive, she was the first employee and grew the company to 20+ strong. She was chief operating officer and led the efforts to create effective online strategies for more than 100 clients.
